The small routine change that made mornings easier
0
In the facility, mornings were always the pressure point: getting washed and dressed while the person still has their best energy — or their worst resistance. The single change that helped most was embarrassingly small: we stopped offering choices from a full wardrobe and laid out two options, in the order they go on. Less deciding, less overwhelm, fewer battles.
Every home has one of these small discoveries — the plate color that made eating easier, the radio that made bathing calmer, the walk that fixed the afternoon.
What does your morning routine look like — and where does it usually go sideways? Someone else is stuck exactly where you are.
